Updated flood newsletter and flood damage survey

The  NFU’s latest version of their flood newsletter is available to download - see below. It is full of important and useful information.

The NFU is working with the Farmer Network and other organisations (we are involved) to assess the scale of the impact of storm Desmond and subsequent flooding on farms, so we are better placed to help farmers and their businesses recover and get appropriate support from government agencies and other organisations.

Farming Flood Recovery Fund

DEFRA’s Farming Recovery Fund is now open for applications for support payments worth up to £20,000 for people who have been affected by flooding. The Farming Recovery Fund will provide assistance with four key areas, including:

The NFU has produced a newsletter for members affected by the flooding in the North East and North West.

It contains information on where advice and funding is available to help with the recovery operation. The newsletter also contains key contact details for assistance over the weekend and into next week.
