Cumbria Farmer Network Flood Recovery Directory

Have you suffered from the floods or can help farmers recover from the floods?

This morning the Cumbria Farmer Network have gone live with a Flood Recovery Directory on their website.  They are asking all flood affected farmers to ring the Farmer Network and tell them about the level of damage and any help needed as a matter of urgency and in the long term. The page also records any expressions of help which farmers and business’s are offering. They  hope to match- make between the two.

Cumbria Farmer Network's priority is to deal with the most urgent cases and they are sign- posting farmers to all other relevant organisations where needed.

If you have flood damage to your land and property and would like help to restore it or if you are able to offer labour or services to help in the clean up, then please contact the Cumbria Farmer Network office on 01768 868615 or email donna@thefarmernetwork.co.uk

In addtion, the Cumbria Business Growth Hub and Rural Growth Network are undertaking a survey to make an initial assessment of the impact of the flooding on businesses – those that have been flooded and those that are affected less directly through for example, customers, suppliers, transport links, etc.

So if you’ve been affected in any way by the recent flooding please take a few minutes to complete their short survey.
