Flood recovery: Information meetings for farmers All welcome

The NFU is convening four open meetings around Cumbria to share information about flood recovery including the Farming Recovery Fund.

Tues 19th Jan - Kendal: NWA Junction 36,  7.30pm
Wed 20th Jan - Carlisle: The Auctioneer, 7.30pm
Thurs 21st Jan - Penrith: The Hired Lad,  7.30pm
Tues 26th Jan - Cockermouth: Lakeland Livestock Centre (Mitchell’s),  7.30pm

At each meeting there will be a representative from the RPA, Natural England and Environment Agency. The aim of the meetings is to make farmers aware of how they can access the information and guidance they need to make decisions about clean up and recovery, and what support is available.

There will be an opportunity for questions and informal discussion.

The NFU has been working alongside the Farmer Network and the Addington Fund, Cumbria Agricultural Chaplaincy, CLA, Farming Community Network (FCN), Federation of Cumbria Commoners, Forage Aid, Foundation for Common Land, Mitchells, RABI & Westmorland Agricultural Society to support farmers as part of flood recovery.
